General Summary:

The University of North Georgia, Department of Nursing invites application for a 10-month, tenure track position, Assistant/Associate Professor for the undergraduate program.

Located in the fastest-growing region of the state, the University of North Georgia is a multi-campus university with an enrollment of nearly 20,000 students, making it one of the largest institutions in the University System of Georgia. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and accreditation activities
  • Participating in university and community service activities, satisfy committee appointments, and engaging in professional practice.
  • Designing and implementing studies, collecting and analyzing data, reporting findings, writing grant applications, educating peers in academic or clinical settings, writing articles and research reports in nursing or medical professional journals or other publications, and presenting findings at conferences, meetings, and other professional speaking engagements. 
  • This position includes expectations for teaching, scholarship and service.    

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctorate required.
  • Current license in Georgia as a registered professional nurse. Certifications as appropriate.
