The Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director provides leadership and direction to the faculty, staff and students of Albany State University (ASU) in developing, implementing and evaluating our Quality Enhancement Plan. The Director serves as a champion of the QEP, promotes the plan's activities that drive student learning and success and has the primary responsibility of ensuring ASU is in compliance with SACSCOC policies and standards relative to the QEP.  

Training and Experience:

*Earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited university
*Knowledge of and interest in student development theory, student engagement and student success
*Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner with others
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Experience with assessment of learning outcomes
*Familiarity with SACSCOC  

Testing Requirements:

 

Illustrative Examples of Work:

*Directs and organizes the activities of the QEP program;
*Provide leadership in the design of new policies and procedures that are necessary to achieve the QEP's goals
*Manages and oversees QEP assessment in cooperation with Institutional Research
*Works with faculty, staff and students to ensure successful submission and implementation of ASU's QEP
*Promotes participation in the QEP throughout the university and community
*Collaborates with the Office of Communication to create a communication plan and awareness campaign of the QEP
*Coordinates training for faculty and staff to further planned activities
*Manages the QEP budget in compliance with ASU and USG policies
*Provides status reports and updates to the university stakeholders
*May supervise and evaluate staff
*Serves as a resource for faculty and the University community;
*Coordinates efforts with other academic units and support services;
*Continues a program of professional staff development
*May teach at least one class per semester
*Perform other duties as assigned
