Assistant Professor, Sociology - 218249

The Department of Psychology/Sociology is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology position to begin August 1, 2020.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Sociology at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will join a collegial nine-person department. The teaching load is 12 hours per semester, in addition to scholarship and service. We seek a broadly trained sociologist who is capable and interested in teaching upper division and lower-level courses in Sociology. Preference will be given to candidates interested in teaching courses in the areas of gender and sexuality. Ability to teach courses in family is also desirable.
