Working at Georgia State is where you should be!!!

Georgia State University is a national leader in student success and the only public university in the U.S. to have eliminated all achievement gaps based on race, ethnicity and income level. The University Innovation Alliance (UIA), of which Georgia State University is a founding member, is a national consortium of large public research universities working together to improve outcomes for all students regardless of their socioeconomic status.  The UIA is designed, organized, and led by the presidents and chancellors of its 11-member institutions. Together, the universities draw from every region in the country and span the spectrum of U.S. public research universities, from emergent institutions to land grant universities and state flagships to improve student outcomes, especially for low income and first-generation college students. Over the past five years, the UIA has launched a series of large, cross-institutional projects, including one focusing on providing completion grants to students in financial need. This position will be responsible for coordinating and leading the requirements of this project including overseeing data collection and reporting.

Georgia State University’s UIA Fellow will occupy a fulltime position supporting the work of the UIA, in general, and Georgia State’s student success efforts. Reporting to the Senior Director for Student Success Analytics and working collaboratively with the Senior Vice President for Student Success, the UIA Fellow will engage in critical work to help to identify new solutions to problems of student attrition, evaluate and scale proven innovations, and communicate and diffuse outcomes –ultimately helping more students have access to and graduate with a high quality, affordable degree. The position provides a collaborative, fast-paced, and challenging experience coupled with training in cutting edge transferable skills, such as Design Thinking, data analytics, and pressing issues in higher education. The UIA Fellow will gain the unique networking opportunities of some of the most innovative public institutions nationwide to support your launch into a high-level university leadership career.
