Tenure-track Faculty Position in Statistics at University of West Georgia

The Department of Mathematics at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Statistics, beginning in August 2020.

A Ph.D. in Statistics or a Ph.D. in Mathematics with concentration in Statistics is required, with a preference to candidates with finance, actuarial science, data science, or analytics background. Applicants must have an outstanding research agenda/record. Teaching responsibilities include teaching upper-level courses in our Statistics/Actuarial Science track and graduate statistics courses. Applicants must have a record of successfully teaching statistics. Up to two years of credit toward promotion and tenure is possible depending on prior experience.

The department of mathematics has a diverse faculty including eighteen tenured/tenure-track members with research interests in applied mathematics, discrete mathematics, pure mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education.
