Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Marketing Specialist, Photography, working under the direction of University Communications, will produce high quality digital photo content—ranging from capturing raw images and footage to producing finished deliverables—to achieve marketing and communications objectives targeted at a variety of audiences and delivered on multiple, different platforms. Produced work will appear in print and digital publications and marketing materials, direct mail and email communications, University websites, Vimeo, college search websites, social media websites, on-campus events, live presentations, etc. If skill set is available, occasional videography support will be needed.

Minimum Requirements
Proposed Minimum Experience/Education

An associate’s degree from an accredited college/university in Digital Media/Imaging, Photography, Technical Communication or a related field is required. In addition, candidates must have at least 1-2 years of prior demonstrated experience in creating and working with visual communication using software to produce deliverables to include professional experience in graphic design for print and digital production/delivery.

The ability to lift 40 (forty) lbs.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

Employee must not only be technically proficient, but must have creative expertise in all phases of the creative production process for photography and videography. Exhibits strong photography and still camera skills for use in strategic imagery and creative applications. Employee must be able to work with a wide-variety of clients; students, faculty, staff, administrators, community members and high-level corporate personnel. The ability to self-manage projects and a production schedule is highly valued.
