The School of Film, Media & Theatre at Georgia State University seeks a guest Expert-in-Residence in Technical Direction and Design for the fall 2019 and spring 2020 semesters. The rapidly expanding Theatre program is undergoing exciting changes and is looking for a team player who will consult, guide, and help implement adjustments to the scene shop and design processes in the Theatre program. Primary duties include: teaching an undergraduate design course in area of specialty in both semesters; overseeing and mentoring students; and consulting about and assistance with the re-structure/organization of the scene shop. Requirements include: bachelor’s degree (or higher) in theatre or a related field; a record of work in theatrical design; an ability to teach undergraduate design (in area of expertise); and experience using Vector works or AutoCAD.
