Georgia Institute of Technology’s College of Sciences has an immediate opening for a Web Developer Sr.

Job Purpose: Responsible for advanced level development, testing, implementation and maintenance of all facets of web-based application systems for a campus unit. May serve as project lead on applications impacting multiple units and provide work direction to Web Developers.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct web based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs.
  • Maintain assigned applications providing resolution of issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications.
  • Provide direction and leadership for web related project assignments.
  • Prepare project schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Impact & Influence: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: management and staff within The Academic and Research Computing Services (ARCS) unit of the College, assigned units and personnel in Office of Information Technology. This position will typically advise and counsel: management and staff within assigned units and staff Office of Information Technology. This position will supervise: NA

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Work Experience: Six to eight years job related experience.
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Skills: This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web based scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.
