The Department of Leadership and Integrative Studies in University College at Kennesaw State University is seeking applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies. The successful applicant will begin on August 1, 2018. The ideal candidate is a scholar-practitioner with expertise in an interdisciplinary approach to Leadership Studies. The ideal applicant is collegial and collaborative. The teaching responsibilities include instruction in the undergraduate Leadership Studies Certificate and the Leadership Studies concentration in the Integrative Studies degree program.


  • Experience teaching and/or credentials to teach Leadership Studies at the college level
  • A record of excellent college teaching
  • Knowledge of the application of technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • Evidence of scholarly presentation and publication potential
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness to work with a diverse group of students


  • Maintain a 3-3 teaching load
  • Teach classes in a variety of modalities (online, hybrid, and traditional)
  • Mentor students in Leadership Studies
  • Serve on University, College, and Department Committees
  • Engage in an active research agenda in Leadership Studies

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Leadership Studies or a closely related field, or the foreign equivalent. A record of scholarship is also required commensurate with experience. Willingness to engage in professional service at all levels of the campus and within the discipline is also a requirement.
