Nature of Work: This individual will ensure that prevention and intervention strategies are successfully implemented by engaging, educating and empowering various constituencies in their response to sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking.  
Training and Experience: Required 
A master's degree in Counseling, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration or related discipline or a bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience as a program coordinator. 
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. 
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with victims of dating and domestic violence, stalking and/or sexual assault. 
Experience with grant administration. 
Experience managing budgets. 

Ability to identify and remain sensitive to the needs of program participants. 
Ability to interact effectively with participants. 
Demonstrated skill in Project Management and Program Coordination. 
Excellent communication skills in expressing oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to diverse audiences. 
Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and leadership skills. 
Exceptional skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with service organizations and the general public. 
Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 
Ability to work independently and take initiative when appropriate.

Illustrative Examples of Work: In collaboration with the project team, developing and implementing program goals, objectives, policies, and priorities. 
Marketing the program to the campus community. 
Engaging community partners including service providers and potential employers. 
Collaborating with key constituents inclusive of campus and community partners who will work to develop a coordinated community response to dating and domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. 
Establishing population specific (student peer educator and support) groups on campus. 
Fiscal oversight of the budget including monitoring expenses as well as projecting expenditures over the course of the grant. 
Preparing monthly and annual financial and administrative reports to be reviewed with internal and external stakeholders. 
Monitoring, tracking and presenting program outcomes to institutional administrators. 
Acting as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders with a goal of promoting the services offered, to exchange information, and to develop shared resources that will enhance the experience of students who attend Albany State University. 
Ensuring compliance with federal requirements. 
Developing a sustainability plan. 
Demonstrating excellent customer service. 
Evaluating the performance of volunteers. 
Participating in continuing education programs. 
Performs other duties as required.
