Job Description: 


Opening for postdoctoral fellow for research on algae-based biofuels and co-products in the College of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The postdoctoral fellow will work with Georgia Tech faculty in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, as well as collaborators at Algenol Biotech, on the production of biocrude and co-products in advanced photobioreactor-based systems. This is part of a project supported by the US Department of Energy for advancements in algal biomass yield. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field, including experience in algae cultivation and associated processing of the biomass product. Appointment is for one year with possibility of extension. The appointment will likely be in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and will involve work assignments at Georgia Tech and at Algenol’s biorefinery site in Fort Myers, Florida. The start date is as early as September 1, 2017.
