The hydrology research group under the direction of Prof. Rafael L. Bras at Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher position. Candidates should have Ph.D. in hydrology, atmospheric sciences or related geosciences with experience in numerical modeling of the land-atmosphere-biosphere system. Experience in assimilation of soil moisture and rainfall from satellite observations into numerical models of the atmosphere and the land surface and knowledge advanced data analysis techniques is desirable.

Candidates should have proficiency in at least one high level language like FORTRAN, C, and C++ and excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Candidates must also have proven ability to work in a team; effectively interact with graduate students; and have the ability to work independently. Work will involve efforts funded by NASA and other Federal agencies.
