The hydrology research group under the direction of Prof. Rafael L. Bras at Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher position. Candidates should have Ph.D. in hydrology or related geosciences with experience in ecohydrology and hydro-geomorphology. Knowledge of critical zone processes, which includes coupled hydrologic, vegetation, geomorphic and biogeochemical processes and how their interactions influence the evolution of hotspot and hot moments of critical zone processes is desirable.

Experience with geomorphological models, ecohydrological models and aptitude for multidisciplinary work in contact with scientists of different disciplines (e.g. critical zone observatory) will be advantageous. Proficiency in at least one high-level language such as FORTRAN, C, C++ , as well as knowledge of MATLAB is needed. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English; the proven ability to work in a team and effectively interact with graduate students; and the ability to work independently. Work will focus on  several studies funded by the NSF on Critical Cone Observatories.
