Georgia Regents University, formerly known as The Medical College of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Clinical and Digital Health Sciences.  The position requires an academic leader with excellent interpersonal skills to direct the efforts of an outstanding, collegial faculty within a research-intensive academic health center. We seek to recruit a candidate with an established nationally and internationally recognized research program focusing on current and emerging high priority domestic and international public health and healthcare issues. The candidate should be able to support a highly successful research program by leading significant extramural funding and mentor junior faculty and graduate students to advance collaborative research within the Department, University, and beyond. A strong connection to industry partners is welcomed. This is a 12-month, tenure or tenure-track appointment. Productive publishing in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals is expected in conjunction with communicating research results to policymakers and community interest groups. The candidate will have the opportunity to engage in teaching at graduate and/or undergraduate level in the Department.

The Department

The Department of Clinical and Digital Health Sciences has 15 faculty, about 150 undergraduate and 100 graduate students. The department offers the nation’s oldest online undergraduate programs in Health Information Administration (HIA), a post-baccalaureate certificate in Health Information Administration, a Master of Public Health, a bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy, a Dietetic Internship and a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition. The Community

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Earned doctoral degree in Public Health, Health Informatics or related disciplines from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring.
  • An outstanding track record in funded research and innovation.
  • Documented record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
