Job Information (Job ID #9351)

The James M. Hull College of Business at Georgia Regents University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field. Anticipated start is August 2015.

Position requirements:

Research and teaching expectations will require a background in a relevant subfield of cybersecurity, such as secure software development, vulnerability analysis, event analysis/forensics, incident response, reverse engineering malware, network security, mobile computing, or security testing.  Successful candidates are expected to develop externally sponsored research programs and to help expand GRU’s cyber security curriculum. Applicants with a particular focus on health care and medical security or military cyber operations (Augusta, GA is home to NSA Georgia, Cyber Center of Excellence Fort Gordon, and future home of Army Cyber Command) would be particularly well qualified for this position.

Equally important is demonstrated capability or potential for teaching excellence within the discipline. Candidates should be prepared to deliver courses online, as hybrid online/face-to-face, and face-to-face with a strong preference for candidates who can combine these approaches in an assigned section (e.g., face-to-face content is recorded and the course packaged so students can participate in their choice of delivery mode).

Faculty are also expected to participate in the governance of the institution and provide service to the profession and community comprising about 10% of workload.
