The candidate with a PhD degree, and at least five years of postdoctoral training in molecular biology and imaging will join tumor angiogenesis lab in the GRU Cancer Research Center as a non-tenured track Assistant Research Scientist.  This faculty member will be responsible for designing, performing, and interpreting different experiments related to the projects performed in the lab.  These include, but are not limited to the studies of tumor microenvironment, vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and vascular mimicry. The faculty member will also be responsible to assist in overseeing and supervising different research projects in the lab by advising, developing and writing manuscripts and grant applications.  In addition the candidate is expected to receive his/her grant support within three years.

  • Planning, designing, and performing research projects and analyzing the data from these research projects
  • Assist in grant writing and submission/Scientific manuscript writing and submission
  • Assist in mentoring and supervising postdoctoral fellows and graduate students
  • Performing administrative and managerial tasks in the lab
  • Attend lab meetings and discussions of results from research projects

Minimum Requirements 

PhD, MD/PhD with 5 years of post-doc training. Training must be in tumor microenvironment, angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, tumor and stem cell biology
