Position – Non/Tenure or Tenure Track or Tenured 12-Month Position – Musculoskeletal/Foundational Skills in Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

A twelve-month non-tenure track or tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor is available at Georgia Regents University (formerly the Medical College of Georgia/Georgia Health Sciences University) Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. The focus of this position is teaching primarily within the musculoskeletal content with respect to foundational skills and interventions. The ability to support other content areas such as wound care, geriatrics, and complex medical issues also is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a physical therapist with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Minimum Requirements

For tenure-track consideration, qualifications include a PhD or other research-based doctorate (e.g. EdD, ScD, DSc) and preferably board-certified clinical specialization. A post-doctoral experience is also beneficial. For non-tenure track consideration, a DPT (entry-level or transitional) and board-certified clinical specialization (or eligible) is required. Individuals in the final stages of completing a DPT degree are encouraged to apply. Applicants with research-based doctorates also can be considered for non-tenure track.  The individual needs to be licensed or eligible for Georgia licensure.
