Job Description: 

The Assistant/Associate Professor of Child and Family Development is a full-time, ten month, tenure-track position in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Family Sciences and Technology.

Duties include:

  • Ensure efficient and coordinated clinic flow by planning clinic activities
  • Teach professional undergraduate level courses
  • Advise undergraduate students in the major
  • Coordinate and supervise student field experiences
  • Coordinate on-going curriculum development activities to include web-based courses to accommodate traditional and nontraditional students
  • Develop, and maintain positive community relations with relevant child and family agencies; child and family development centers and other community outreach organizations Develop personal and undergraduate research, particularly as it relates to child development and family relations
  • Serve on College, Departmental, and University committees
  • Seek external funds to support program activities and student scholarships
  • Provide oversight and supervision of the Child Development Lab
  • Participate in the continuous assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Provide service to the university and professional organizations
  • Assist students in acquiring Internships
  • Actively participate in recruitment of students
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
