The Department of English and Foreign Languages at Georgia Regents University seeks a tenure-track assistant or associate professor to develop the university’s Second Language Writing (SLW) curriculum and programs. This person will design and teach first-year composition courses for multilingual writers; develop new courses in the Professional Writing and Rhetoric concentration of the English major, such as Writing in International Business Environments; and strengthen the university’s support for multilingual undergraduate and graduate students, especially in the health sciences. The position might also include the opportunity to teach courses in TESOL to English and education majors. Generally speaking, this person’s task is to improve our institution's overall awareness of and engagement with international/L2 students. The new hire will work within a strong group of departmental faculty and will collaborate with other departments, such as Communications, as the new programming takes shape.
