Job Summary/Basic Function:  Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC), a four-year, degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia, is accepting applications for Part-Time Temporary Faculty to teach speech courses during the day, evenings, weekends and/or on-line. The college currently serves over 3000 commuting students on its beautifully landscaped campus which is located 10 minutes south of downtown Atlanta and 15 minutes north of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. 
Minimum Qualifications:  This position requires the candidate to possess the following skills: teach classes and lecture; grade papers, research information, create quizzes and assignments; must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; must have strong oral and written communication, listening, and organizational skills; be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others; have the ability to use small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems; have the ability to use computers for data entry, word processing and/or accounting purposes. 
Applicants wishing to teach undergraduate degree-level courses (i.e., Human Communication or Public Speaking) must have an earned Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate semester or 30 graduate quarter hours in speech, rhetoric, or a closely related field. The college is building a repository of qualified part-time faculty.

Advertised Salary and Benefits:  The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the budgetary parameters of the college and of the University System of Georgia. There are no benefits associated with this position.
