Job Summary/Basic Function Part Time Instructor to teach courses in art appreciation at Georgia College & State University. 
The Department of Art invites applications for a part time instructor to begin August 2013. This position is for the fall semester and may be renewed for spring 2014. Courses include up to three sections of ARTS 1105 Understanding Visual Art  
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities The department seeks an instructor who can effectively lecture on the cultural and aesthetic influences, impact and value of western and non-western art in society.

Minimum Qualifications Masters Degree (in Art, Art Education, Humanities, etc...non-terminal degree) plus 18 graduate hours at the Masters level in a related area (Art History, e.g.)  
Preferred Qualifications MA, MFA or PhD in Art History and teaching experience and record of scholarly activity appropriate to the position is desirable.
