Position Title: Custodial Foreman (Req. #0608845)
Position Description: Physical Plant. Manages a work shift of custodial supervisors and custodians in the care and cleaning of academic and administrative buildings.
Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; three or more months of formal vocational/technical training or post secondary education (additional experience may substitute for some of the educational requirement); two or more years of work-related experience, including custodial, custodial supervisory and management (a higher level of education may be substituted for some of the experience requirement); ability to read and comprehend simple instructions or information, such as work orders, cleaning chemical labels, etc.; ability to complete simple forms, use hand-held, precision, and power tools, such as brooms, mops, screwdrivers, floor buffers, leaf blowers, and calculate correct quantity of chemicals to perform custodial work; ability to work independently; proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; effective communication (verbal and written), organization, and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified; ability to supervise and train employees under general direction; skill in related software applications, quality assurance; familiarity with Inventory Control; maintenance of equipment; ability to work multiple shifts, Green Cleaning, Team cleaning, and familiarity with safety standards including OSHA/Safety
Salary Range: Minimum $24,969 to Midpoint $31,226
