The Department of Occupational Therapy in the Byrdine F. Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions at Georgia State University (GSU) in Atlanta invites applications for two 9-month non-tenure track positions (preferably specializing in Mental Health and/or Physical Disability) all at the rank of Assistant Professors. These positions integrate the roles of teacher, researcher and scholarly practitioner within the Occupational Therapy program and provides opportunity for inter-professional collaboration across an array of health care professions and beyond. The ideal candidates will have experience as a teacher, researcher and practitioner in the field of Occupational Therapy.  Successful candidates will also participate fully in the life of the university, activities of the department, Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions, and continued development and accreditation of the program.

Minimum requirements for non-tenure (clinical) track include a clinical doctoral degree in occupational therapy with a record of scholarly productivity, demonstrated clinical experience and a commitment to excellence in graduate-level teaching with emphasis in one of the following areas a) Physical disability and/or occupational intervention and b) Mental health and/or cognitive rehabilitation. Teaching and/or course development experience in a national research university curriculum, and evidence of scholarly activity will be a plus.

Both positions require at least 5 years of clinical practice as an occupational therapist, NBCOT certification and a current license to practice as an OT in the State of Georgia at the time of appointment.
