General Summary:

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Health Informatics - Fall 2018.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • The faculty member will be responsible for providing instruction in Healthcare Services and Informatics Administration program, primarily in the area of healthcare data analytics and regulation.
  • The successful candidate will also contribute to departmental initiatives, contribute to curriculum development, and utilize technology to effectively teach in online and on-campus environments.
  • The candidate will also have the potential to establish or continue an active research agenda and to provide service to the profession, department, college and university.   
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • PhD in healthcare-related field is required.
  • Expertise in healthcare data analytics and healthcare regulation required
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Healthcare information technology (HIT), big data analytics, healthcare regulation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with software and query technologies used to analyze big data in healthcare.
