Assistant/Associate Professor Of Management

JOB TYPE: Full Time

The School of Business at Middle Georgia State University (MGA) invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to teach and conduct research in the area of Management with specific interests in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Operations Management. The ability to teach and research in multiple areas within Management (specifically Strategy) is a strong advantage. Rank will be determined by qualifications of the successful applicant). This is a 10-month faculty position.

RESPONSIBILITIES: MGA’s primary mission is teaching. Courses are delivered in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and video-conferenced formats. The School offers a Bachelor of Science in Business degree and a Master of Science in Management degree. The successful candidate will:

• Provide excellent teaching to undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of delivery formats, this will likely include teaching on multiple campuses and possibly being primarily assigned to our Cochran or Dublin campus

• Conduct primarily applied and pedagogical research in Management leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals to maintain Scholarly Academic status

• Engage in service to the School, University, and community

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possess an earned PhD or DBA in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field, from a regionally accredited institution (ABD will be considered with a firm completion date no later than August 2018). Be Scholarly Academic based on AACSB Standards. Demonstrated teaching excellence. Commitment to production of scholarship in peer reviewed publications. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Possess an earned PhD in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field, from an AACSB-accredited institution. Basic understanding of AACSB 2013 standards. Demonstrated record or strong potential for scholarship in peer reviewed publications. Experience with online, hybrid, and/or other alternative delivery formats is preferred. Prior teaching and business experience

SALARY: Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.
