Senior Coordinator, Urgent Care & Suicide Prevention - 20000343


The Senior Coordinator of Urgent Care & Suicide Prevention serves as the point of contact for faculty, staff, and students who have urgent care and suicide concerns. This position will provide leadership and administration of Urgent care and Suicide Prevention, campus wide.

Duties of the Senior Coordinator of Urgent Care & Suicide Prevention include:

  • Provide leadership and supervision  of urgent care and suicide prevention services.  Including ensuring that all needed documentation is done correctly within the electronic records database, communication with key stakeholders is done, and that referrals for needed follow up care are provided
  • Supervise the Coordinator, Urgent Care and Suicide Prevention
  • Manage the after hours schedule for providers
  • Coordinate the follow up for students who experience after hours crisis intervention
  • Provide workshops and seminars for students and campus community including training seminars for doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows on crisis intervention and suicide prevention
  • Provide consultation to clinicians staffing the walk-in clinic for mental health urgent care and suicide prevention needs of students
  • Prepare reports of urgent care data as required
  • Provide clinical supervision for doctoral interns or post-doctoral fellows as assigned
  • Provide back up administrative coverage for campus emergencies in rotation with Director, Counseling Services  for after hours and during the day as assigned
  • Provide individual consultation to students seeking services in the walk-in clinic
  • Provide follow up for any students, faculty, staff, or students regarding urgent care services at the CTC
  • Coordinate campus wide assessment of services in urgent care and suicide prevention
  • Perform other professional duties assigned or requested

PhD in Counseling or Clinical Psychology and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM | Monday - Friday 

Salary : $60,000 - $76,500 

Pay Grade: 20 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Preferred Hiring Qualifications: 

  • Doctoral degree from and APA accredited program in Counseling or Clinical Psychology Licensed as a psychologist in Georgia or able to transfer valid license to Georgia within 90 days.
