The University of West Georgia (UWG) offers an undergraduate and graduate accounting program with AACSB accreditation and Supplemental Accounting Accreditation.  The accounting faculty also covers accounting principles courses for the Richards College of Business as well as a course in the MBA program.  UWG invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Accounting and Finance beginning August 2020. 

A doctorate from an AACSB-accredited institution at the time of appointment is desired.   However, ABDs from an AACSB-accredited institution will be considered. Candidates must qualify for Scholarly Academic status at UWG at the time of hire. An active research agenda is required.

A candidate should be a dedicated and innovative teacher who will publish in refereed accounting journals and promote the program to potential employers and other stakeholders.  Service to the university, college and department, as well as involvement in the local community, is also required. Professional certification is desirable.

Consistent with the needs of the department, candidates with teaching interests in all areas of accounting will be considered. Rank for the position is open.
