The National SafeCare Training and Research Center (NSTRC) in the Mark Chaffin Center for Healthy Development within the School of Public Health is seeking a Sponsored Funded - Research Coordinator II.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Coordinates evaluation activities for federal research grant:

  • Works with Principal investigators and research team to assess and track participants for federal research grant focusing on drug court clients and their families.
  • Develops and implements tracking systems, data collection protocols, and handles IRB submissions for study protocol.
  • Coordinates project team members and supervised graduate assistants tasks for data collection, meetings, and data coding.
  • Prepares and maintains IRB protocol for submission
  • Prepares computer-based surveys for administration to clients
  • Coordinates participant recruitment, assessments, and retention of research participants in the project
  • Manages IMPREST account for reimbursing participants.
  • Conducts data management including reading, validating, and cleaning data from various sources.
  • Conducts basic statistical analyses for reports, and assists with the preparation of scientific manuscripts and presentations as needed.
  • Trains new team members and assistants on how to perform the local evaluation piece and management of participant-level data.
  • Creates study protocols to document data collection procedures.

 Assists with program activities for federal research grant:

  • Interacts with state leadership, local partners (courts, services providers), and community-based service agencies that provide services to clients.
  • Works with sites to develop and implement service plans by selecting evidence-based practices for delivery.
  • Works with the project team to assist GA DFCS in developing a data dashboard for documenting and tracking referrals of clients to family treatment courts.
  • Assists with processing of evaluation data for the grant including federally required data collection.
  • Assists with setting up and monitoring sub-awards and consultancy agreements as needed to ensure programmatic activities are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Conducts presentations to local partners of the preliminary data and results of the evaluation.

 Administrative tasks:

  • Coordinates and completes evaluation for annual and semi-annual progress reports and continuation request.
  • Submits regular budget of project materials and participant incentives to grants manager for overall budget management.
  • Coordinates communication to participants in local evaluation through the dissemination of reminder and marketing materials to increase retention.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Must possess at least one of the following:

  • Master's degree in assigned research area.
  • A combination of education and related experience.
