Description

Under the direction of Timothy Renick, the Senior Vice President for Student Success, the Division of Student Success at Georgia State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Academic Professional to lead the planning and launch of the groundbreaking National Institute for Student Success in Atlanta, GA. The goal of the National Institute for Student Success at Georgia State University is to catalyze positive transformation of student success outcomes at multiple institutions by leveraging the widespread demand for peer-to-peer learning with Georgia State. The Institute will rapidly increase the effective transfer of student-success innovations nationally by providing opportunities for institutional teams to gain hands-on knowledge of the innovative practices and systems at Georgia State and by doing so in state-of-the-art spaces designed for maximally impactful learning.

Position Requirements

Reporting to the SVP for Student Success, this position will be responsible for the planning and initial launch of Georgia State University’s National Institute for Student Success. The position requires demonstrated skills in project management, strategic thinking, complex writing and reporting, public presentation, performance management, and budgeting.  Applicants should have extensive knowledge of the postsecondary landscape and the ability to teach at the university level. A doctoral degree is required. Preference will be given to applicants with training or experience in fostering student success within higher education administration.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
