Position Summary:
Dining Commons. The Production Chef ensures preparation of excellent food and exceptional customer service within the dining facility. The Production Chef monitors sanitation practices in order to ensure employees follow standards and regulations, as well as offers support and direction to student and temporary employees.

Essential Functions

  • Prepares food using techniques such as cooking, roasting, baking, and the preparation of skillet meals.
  • Ensures compliance with menus, recipes, production schedules, and quality standards.
  • Participates in daily testing of foods.
  • Completes preparation assignments for next day's menu.
  • Serves clients during special events, and works in other departments/locations as needed.
  • Cleans equipment and performs other sanitation duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment
  • Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of background investigation prior to employment

Salary Range: $23,700
