Job Summary

Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Technology & Records Specialist. This position is responsible for the data warehouse management system including Degree Works Scribing, Blackboard Analytics reporting, Academic Data Collection processing, National Student Clearinghouse reporting, updating/ standardizing forms, BANNER testing and updates, data entry, and process improvement and implementation. The Technology and Records Specialist is responsible for processing of transcript requests as well as enrollment verifications; provides technical assistance as needed in the office and is the web master for the Registrar’s Office. This position is also responsible for process improvements such as withdrawals, change of majors, course substitutions, etc. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Three to five years of work experience in higher education; must have strong technical and data management skills. Expertise in BANNER functional and technical skills, data analysis; excellent oral and written communication skills required. Experience working in a technical and functional environment where analytical skills are used, interpreted and presented for a variety of audiences. Must have the ability to use specialized computer and software applications, including BANNER, DegreeWorks, Blackboard Analytics, NexGen, etc. Skills needed in project management, communication, and building relationships across campus; Degree Works Scribing experience required.
