Position Summary

The School of Social Work invites applications for the position of Academic Professional to serve in a field coordinator capacity in our Field Education office. This academic professional faculty position will include recruitment and evaluation of appropriate field learning sites; placement of students in practicum sites; field liaising; administrative management of field education protocols; and teaching multiple field and practice courses. Extensive travel to field sites in Athens, metropolitan Atlanta, and Northeast Georgia is required.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidates must have a MSW degree and a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate social work practice experience; must show evidence of a knowledge of field education.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

A minimum of 5 years prior experiences in administration, social work practice, student supervision, and a working knowledge of the Council on Social Work Education 2015 Educational Policies and Accreditation Standards are desirable. Social work license preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Linkages, knowledge, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experiences in the professional social service community of metro Atlanta and in the Athens area are also strongly desired.
