General Summary:
 

The Communication, Media & Journalism department seeks part-time faculty members to teach a number of film production courses on the Gainesville, Oconee, and Dahlonega campuses. The courses include Writing for Media, Production I, Pre-production, and Production II. Working filmmakers with the necessary teaching credentials are welcome to apply as long as production schedules do not interfere with the teaching schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Teaching one to two sections of Writing for Media, Production I, Pre-production, and/or Production II
  • Communicating with departmental colleagues regarding choice of text, common assignments, and standardized rubrics and grading
  • Reporting grades in a timely manner
  • Following all guidelines in the Faculty Handbook for part-time faculty. 
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Applicants must have completed a Master’s degree with at least 18 hours of coursework in film production and/or screenwriting, or possess the equivalent in professional experience.
