Nature of Work: Working within the Division of Information Technology Services' Project Management Office the ITS Technology Trainer will complete the last portion of all technology projects by ensuring that users have been properly trained on the project's use of technologies. The ITS Technology Trainer will assist in developing project plans including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, and schedules. The Technology Trainer will determine and provide technical training to departments within the University to help maintain or improve job skills. The Technology Trainer will update or prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information on the project and its subsequent training.  
Training and Experience: Education / Certifications: 
Baccalaureate or graduate degree in relevant field 
IT Certified Project Manager (ITCMP) or certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred 

Knowledge / Experience: 
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. 
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, production methods, and coordination of people and resources in a college or university environment. 
Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Assess the training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with various department managers. 
Create or update project plans to design, plan, organize, or direct orientation and training programs for employees. 
Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. 
Establish and execute a technology training communication plan. 
Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. 
Keep up with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles. 

Areas of technology training will include: 
Employees' use of the Banner SIS and CRMs for student services such as Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Housing, and Bursar's office. 
Employees' use of ADP, PeopleSoft Financials, ePro, Argos, Live25, and OneUSG projects. 
Faculty's use of Classroom Technologies, WebEx, Banner SIS, DegreeWorks, and other enterprise technologies. 
User training will be conducted via both online and traditional classroom settings.

Some travel may be required for the purpose of offsite software installation, training, configuration, and so on.
