The Department of English and Foreign Languages at Augusta University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in English specializing in Creative Writing (Fiction) at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2018. The successful applicant will teach a combination of fiction workshops, freshman composition, and other creative writing courses as appropriate, with a teaching load of 3/3. AU’s English major includes concentrations in Creative Writing, Professional Writing and Rhetoric, Literature, and Literature-Secondary Education.

 
Minimum Requirements
 

Required: an M.F.A. or Ph.D. in Creative Writing (or English with a concentration in Creative Writing); significant publications; and experience teaching at the university level.

Desirable: at least one book publication in a primary genre (may be under contract); strong publications in a secondary genre or area of literary scholarship; experience in editing and publishing; and expertise in Dramatic Writing. Experience with online teaching is also desirable.
