Assistant Professor Position in Neuroscience

The Neuroscience Institute at Georgia State University (GSU) invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Area of neuroscience is open with preference given to individuals using state-of-the-art cross disciplinary approaches incorporating molecular, genetic/genomic, computational, or quantitative methods.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or M.D. and possess the ability to establish a vigorous, externally funded research program while contributing to the Neuroscience Institute’s graduate and undergraduate teaching programs. The ideal research program would synergize with existing strengths in the Neuroscience Institute and GSU’s interdisciplinary University Research Centers (http://research.gsu.edu/centers-and-institutes/).

Applicants should provide a full curriculum vita, names and contact information for three references, and a statement of research plans and teaching philosophy (5 page limit) that includes their views and experience related to the Institute’s goal of serving a diverse student body in its educational activities.
