Candidates are expected to have a demonstrated ability to produce high quality research, show promise of attracting external funding, and be well trained in research methods, broadly defined.

The School of Public and International Affairs, of which the DIA is one of three Departments, has two state of the art experimental research labs – one for group surveys and experiments; the other for political psychophysiological research. Candidates who can make use of these facilities are particularly encouraged to apply.
