The Department of Media, Culture and the Arts at Middle Georgia State University is accepting applications for a one-year appointment as Artist-in-Residence/Visiting Professor in Documentary Film to begin in August 2017 in conjunction with the Tubman Museum (a museum dedicated to African American History and culture) in Macon, GA.  We seek an artist who actively shows at film festivals.  The appointee will teach one class each semester and will create a documentary film on a topic appropriate to the mission of the Museum.  The appointee will also facilitate the hosting of workshops for high school students as a way of fostering a culture of documentary imagery.

QUALIFICATIONS: M.F.A. in Film Production (preferred) or related field with emphasis in documentary film making, demonstrated creative scholarship, and professional activities in file.
