The Georgia Tech School of Public Policy is seeking a full time, one-year postdoctoral research associate.

OVERVIEW: The School of Public Policy is an interdisciplinary, collaborative, research intensive, globally engaged school oriented to the future of public policy.  The School’s faculty conducts research with support from major federal and state agencies of the United States as well as private foundations and international organizations.


  1. Manage the data collection, analysis, and reporting on a grant sponsored by the Georgia Department of Transportation aimed at developing strategies for improving environmental performance in engineering design projects.

  2. Develop case studies of environmental management practices.

  3. Conduct a survey of public sector managers responsible for environmental management in state transportation agencies.

  4. Conduct focus groups with public and private sector project managers.

  5. Conduct workshops with agency managers on study findings and implications.

  6. Contribute to data analysis and produce reports and research papers.


  1. Strong research skills.Preference will be given to individuals who can work with both qualitative and quantitative methods.

  2. Ability to work independently with large amounts of unstructured data.

  3. Background or experience with public policy and/or the study of public management is desired, preferably in areas related to transportation and environmental policy.

  4. PhD in public policy.
