Optics at Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, USA

 

The Center for Nano-Optics (CeNO) and the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Georgia State University (GSU) are seeking to fill a faculty position with tenure at a Full Professor or Associate Professor level in experimental nano-optics and nanoplasmonics.

A successful applicant will strongly enhance experimental programs in nano-optics at GSU, attract significant extramural funding, and collaborate with other members of CeNO and faculty of the GSU Departments of Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, and Biology, and other GSU units.

Candidates for this position must possess a doctorate in Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering and show exceptional research accomplishments, a proven and sustained record of academic recognition, high-impact publications, an excellent history of extramural funding, and a strong commitment to teaching. We are seeking candidates who have received national and international recognition for accomplishments in research and applications in nano-optics, nanoplasmonics, ultrafast optics, and/or related fields.
