HUMANITIES ART FACULTY POSITION
(Full-time, Non-Tenure Track)

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Teach college art courses, including ceramics
  • Advise an assigned group of students
  • Participate in division and college committees and projects
  • Participate in community activities
  • Continue professional growth and development
  • Participate in recruiting students to the college and divisional fundraising efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in the discipline; MFA in art preferred
  • Experience teaching college-level art courses, specifically in ceramics
  • Commitment to the teaching and learning process in the art classroom
  • Computer literacy and willingness to use technology for classroom instruction and distance learning

Preferred:

  • Doctorate in art or art-related area
  • Experience teaching multiple art courses
  • Experience teaching online courses

Contract Provisions:

  • Full-time, non-tenure track position available August 8, 2014.
  • Rank: Instructor or Assistant Professor
  • Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Faculty receive all benefits provided by the University System of Georgia, including hospital and major medical insurance, group life insurance, Georgia Teachers' Retirement System, Social Security, liability insurance, and Workman's Compensation
