Nature of Work: The Admissions Counselor provides guidance to applicants on admissions matters, processes, and reviews admissions applications and maintains applicant database.  
Training and Experience: A two-year degree in business required or an equivalent combination of training and experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of university admissions requirements. Proficiency with office software (BANNER). Knowledge of rules, policies and regulations of the Board of Regents. Effective communication and organization skills required.  
Illustrative Examples of Work: Reviews and processes admissions applications. Advises applicants on admissions policies and requirements. Maintains applicant files and database. Serves as a liaison between applicants and academic departments. Reviews applications for admissions decisions. Assists in recruitment activities. Maintains applicant files. Performs other duties, as required.
